Antonio Giovinazzi is on pole position for Sunday's 6 Hour Lone Star Le Mans at Circuit of the Americas. However, qualifying ended in dramatic fashion. Antonio Giovinazzi and Cadillac driver Jack Aitken tied for provisional pole however, it ended up going to the Ferrari driver.

Jack Aitken achieves his best qualifying position of his WEC career effectively tying for pole position but that P1 award will have to wait another time for Jack Aitken.

Giovinazzi's previous pole position came back in Imola of this year. Ferrari look to aim back and close in on the points lead in the title battle with BMW and Toyota. Antonio Giovinazzi will lead the field to green in what will be a very hot day in the Lone Star State.
